Thee Dragon’s Lair Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio located in Owatonna, Minnesota. We are a family-owned and operated neighborhood shop with passionate licensed tattoo professionals who are each experienced in many different styles of tattooing. Each artist contributes their own unique artistry, which provides our clients with limitless possibilities to achieve their desired tattoos.

We want every client's tattoo to tell their stories and personal journeys through their unique artwork by offering a clean, comfortable environment to provide clients, artists, and guests with a truly memorable tattooing experience.

Our Process

01. choose an artist

Have a few concrete ideas about what you want to be done and how you want your tattoo to look on your body. Then, we invite you to contact an artist directly through their artist page here. Choose an artist whose work and presentation you like, and whose style is similar to what you envision!

Find Your Artist

02. get scheduled

Contact the artists directly for scheduling and to place a deposit that will go towards your tattoo fee. If you are unsure which artist to book with, call or stop in Thee Dragon’s Lair for assistance. The artist might take a few days or even weeks to respond.

If you change your mind, be sure to call and give us at least 2-3 weeks’ notice so your artists can book the time they held open for you. Since many of us book weeks to months out in advance, the sooner you are able to cancel your tattoo the better. Deposits are non-refundable!

03. get prepared

On the days leading up to the tattoo, make sure to hydrate as much as possible by drinking lots of water. On the day you come in to be tattooed and the day before, it is important that you don’t consume alcohol or take any aspirin. Please be clear-headed, healthy, and have a full belly! These conditions will ensure the best possible start for your tattoo and help make the experience positive.

04. care for your tattoo

How well your tattoo heals has everything to do with you take care of it afterward, so be prepared to follow the aftercare instructions your artist provides. Your artist will touch up your skin art after it is healed if needed, for FREE! We want you to be absolutely happy with your new tattoo.
